Students through inquiry work as geographers to focus on:
- identification of the function of natural environments in supporting biodiversity.
- investigations into human-induced environmental changes across a once natural environment.
- environmental management.
- explanation of how the biophysical processes operate in the environment to maintain its functioning.

On country light
The On country light program will involve creating valuable and memorable learning experiences for rural, remote and urban students by providing them with basic equipment to get them on a multi-day wilderness exploration and immerse them in the Warrumbungle National Park's diverse environments, to maximise wellbeing, sustainability and curriculum outcomes.

Warrumbungle outdoor education
Through this mandatory core module, an experiential approach is used to discover what being active in the natural Warrumbungle environment is all about. Students are introduced to outdoor education and its importance to their personal growth, skill development and overall wellbeing. They investigate foundational knowledge and skills for outdoor education activities. Students interact with the Warrumbungle environment to explore its features, functions and benefits to individuals and the community. They develop and apply their interpersonal and self-management skills as they experience challenge, learn more about their comfort-zone and participate in planned outdoor activities.

Leadership camp
The Stage 4-6 Leadership Program program will assist to develop self-confidence, communication skills and team work amongst your cohort of leaders.
Students will gather a greater understanding of character attributes to distinguish their own strengths and discover traits that will assist them in their leadership abilities to enable positive change at their school and within their community.

War on waste
This program is aimed at undertaking a waste investigation of rubbish collected from students' and your school's playground rubbish bins.
This will provide the material to allow enquiry based learning and problem solving discussions with the whole class.
The investigation findings allow students to determine ways in which they can convince their school to be more environmentally conscious with regards to waste from the playground. Incursion only.
